The Netherlands host France at De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam needing to beat the visitors to keep their progression hopes alive in League A, Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League (UNL). France, meanwhile, just need to avoid defeat to guarantee top spot.
After a 2-1 away loss in the reverse fixture, the ‘Oranje’ (NED) came back strongly and hammered Germany 3-0 last month. In all competitions, including friendlies, that result was their third 3-0 success in their last four wins and the fifth to nil out of their last six victories.
Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands' side have been impressive at home, winning six of their last seven fixtures (W6, L1), and scoring at least two goals in each win.
The French remain unbeaten in the competition (W2, D1), defeating Germany 2-1 in front of their fans in their last UNL outing. The current world champions are on a great run of 15-straight games, including friendlies, without a loss (W11, D4), nine of which did see both teams score.
If anything, complacency could be an issue for France here, having won five-straight H2Hs against the Netherlands.
