James is officially day-to-day after straining his left groin during the Lakers' victory over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.
A subsequent MRI scan came back clean but James is expected to miss a few games out as a precaution and was rested for the Lakers' 117-116 defeat to Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.
