Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic has returned from the coronavirus lockdown with a foot fracture.
Jovic joined the rest of his team-mates at Real Madrid's training ground on Wednesday at the Valdebebas base, as the squad was subjected to Covid-19 tests and medical evaluations.
"After the tests carried out today on our player Luka Jovic by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an extra-articular fracture in the calcaneus bone of his right foot," Los Blancos said on their website on Friday.
Madrid gave no indication of how long Jovic could be out, saying only that the injury is "pending evolution", but the forward is expected to be sidelined for several weeks at least.
Zinedine Zidane's men are due to resume training on Monday, with La Liga officials currently working to make sure the season restarts in June.
The Serbian international, a €60million signing from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, has scored just two goals in 24 appearances so far for Zinedine Zidane's side.
