TOTTENHAM VS CHELSEA MATCH PREVIEW AND PREDICTION

In what’s potentially their toughest Premier League (PL) test this season, unbeaten Chelsea travel to Tottenham, a side they’ve defeated just once away from home since 2013 (W1, D2, L2).

A home victory would not only see Chelsea’s unbeaten campaign slayed, but would also leapfrog Spurs above their rivals. That’s plenty of incentive for the hosts who are strong at Wembley, and have scored in every PL home game this calendar year bar one – albeit that one anomaly was also their last at home (1-0 defeat to Manchester City).

In fact, Tottenham have won just two PL home matches this campaign (W2, L2), and remain the only top-flight team without a draw overall (W9, L3). That, coupled with a defence that has registered just one clean sheet in seven home games this term (in all competitions), sets this match up as a potential thriller.

In contrast, Chelsea have four clean sheets from five PL road trips (W4, D1), and have been leading at half-time in three of their four away victories.

The visitors’ games have been goal-filled affairs, with the ‘Blues’ hitting the net at least twice in four of their last five league matches, while overall, eight of their 12 so far have featured over 2.5 goals.
